MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Voight later took to the stage to announce, "I started dancing back there, because this is my favorite music. Worthy of the glory, worthy of the power. It's so wonderful, so I said, 'I want to get up there,' and so Glenn, of course, says, 'Go ahead.'"
Martin Luther King, Jr.'s niece, Alveda King, also joined the wonderful surprise performance.
Voight joined his friend Glenn Beck during the Never Again is Now campaign march in Alabama where thousands showed up and joined in the unifying theme "All Lives Matter." Several hundred people also marched in protest at the Minnesota State Fair.
Voight, who is playing Alabama football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant in the upcoming movie Woodlawn, led the pledge of allegiance, reports Global Dispatch.
"It's about taking our church out in the streets," explained talk-show host Glenn Beck. "We are being tested right now. We're being tested and evil is watching us. Evil is watching us to see exactly what we'll do. But evil isn't the only one watching - so is our almighty God, and both good and evil are looking at us right now to see whether we stand up."
His campaign was launched in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the aid of Christians being persecuted in the Middle East as lands have been terribly war-stricken.
Reports from the team says "the crowd could have been as large as 25,000 to 30,000. It may have been the largest march in Birmingham since the civil rights marches of 1963."
Global Dispatch added that no big media outlet like the CNN and the New York Times came to cover the event in Alabama.
